A special limited edition twelve inch single featuring two exclusive mixes of Underpass has been produced especially for Record Store Day. Full details can be found in the NEWS section...

Meanwhile, here's a quick look at the accompanying artwork which has been created by Jonathan Barnbrook...





The edition size is only five hundred copies worldwide, and each copy will be hand-stamped, this is indicated with the red type on the design, but of course each one will look different. The stamping includes an individual edition number. The design pays homage to the original Underpass single using the same typeface and similar sequence of colour squares. This is a double A side, therefore either side of the cover can function as a front cover.

I think I'm going to have some bother getting hold of one.
The outlets listed near me are either supermarkets [they're not interested], or local independents [they're not interested either].

Townsend are selling the CD version, with the "VIP Laminate" from the OMD tour, at £55. They're having a laugh. [I'm not laughing]

Suggestions? [Physically possible ones preferred]

Unfortunately, the 'Underpass' 12 inch has been delayed and will not be available now on Record Store Day next week.

Restricted to 500 copies (all individually numbered) with artwork designed by Jonathan Barnbrook, the 12 inch will now be released on 27 May

Annoying that you can't have the CD without the "laminate" from the VIP package.. £55 - They are having a laugh!

Well, those sold out %@$#ing fast!!! In the approximately two weeks that they were available, I had no money in my PayPal account. I sell off my music collection to fund new purchases and posted some new items for sale. I sold off some items and two weeks later when I had PayPal funds to buy the disc was gone - sold out. With an $80 CD option that I can't afford. Bummed out. Now the CD is gone, so I can'r even afford to pay the exorbitant fees for that. This will have to join the "Subterranean Omnidelic Exotour" CD in the tiny "never in my collection" pile.

Copies of the Underpass twelve inch vinyl are still available over at Cargo records...

Phew! I was most gratified to receive that email last night and you had better believe that I was on top of that Cargo website in a hot second! I'm not sure how this happened, but I'm pleased to be able to buy something within a reasonable window of pre-order time.

I just tried to order a copy from Amazon.Co.UK....it says that it can't deliver to my address in the u.s.

Then try Cargo Records instead - I know that they will deliver overseas.

Here's the latest from my experience:

My jubilation regarding the Amazon.Co.UK success was initially premature; the seller canceled my order. Fortunately, another seller seems to be accommodating me just fine; no issue from him about shipping overseas.

Just in case I may have run into the same issue, I placed what seemed to be a surefire order from Norman Records. However, I just got an email from them that they're waiting for it to be stocked.

So, I will wind up with 0, 1, or 2 copies.

Edit 24 hours later: Norman Records is issuing a refund to me - out of stock.

Wow! After nine days, I have a copy in hand from Cargo. Now all I need is a new stylus. My old one is three years old and I'm not letting it on this disc!

This is probably defeating the object somewhat, but I'll ask the question anyway. Are there any plans to make these available to download in the future? For the moment, my vinyl sits unplayed and mysterious.

There was a CD single?

Yes. It was available through the Foxx store initially as a VIP pass premium for the concert tour they paired with OMD this year. I believe it cost £55. After a while, the store made the CD available apart from a VIP package for those abroad, I suppose, but it cost the same. In effect, out of my budget. But my wife bought it for me and sat on it for several months before surprising me with it [to say the least] on my late September birthday.
