i keep wanting a new collab between currie & foxx. they work incredibly well together -- in either a "cathedral oceans" ambient/instrumental type of collab, a ultravox! "slip away" esp. type or a foxx/gordon type. currie's bowed instrument rendering meshes w/foxx's voice perfectly, to my ears.

After the TCM gig in Leeds somebody asked John is he'd like to work with Robin or Billy again and he said he would love to. He seemed very enthusiastic about the idea anyway even if (as we can predict) nothing will probably come of it!

I'd love to hear John and Billy do a collabration together but as you suggested Alex "Nothing will probably come of it"

interesting! i once emailed billy currie on his website to ask him about foxx and "cathedral ocean." he praised "cathedral oceans" and seemed, in general, positive about foxx. i wish i still had this email. also in that email i'd asked him about the possibility of a future collab w/foxx. he wrote back with, "never say never." he also, i think, attached a smiley.

I asked Billy on Extreme Voice in the past about working with John together again and his words were "would be cool"...

Slightly offtopic, but talking to John after the Luminaire gig about Ultravox, he said he'd be interested to work in that rock area again. It would be near impossible to happen, but an Ultravox reunion would be amazingly brilliant.

Never say impossible....it was said The Police would never get back together and look at their recent successful tour.

Thats true. Everyone concerned said it would never happen, no more so than The Police themselves.
