I feel that this is the last straw with this band. It seemed like they could do no wrong from 2009-2013.

• Graffiti Soul
• Jim Kerr's Lost Boy A.K.A.
• 5 x 5 Live Tour
• Big Music

Then, as soon as "Big Music" was released, they started to lose the plot.

• Catherine A.D. singing lead on SM songs while Jim Kerr nipped off for a rest
• Catherine A.D. period!
• The dreaded acoustic versions
• Acoustic shows in Switzerland [away from prying eyes in case no one liked it]
• Now the much dreaded acoustic album where some of their classic electronic rock canon will be desecrated for money

This text from their home page really offends my sensibilities [emphasis mine]:

Quote:
On SIMPLE MINDS ACOUSTIC the band have found a way of doing the acoustic thing without losing their essence, and a dozen Simple Minds songs loved by millions now sound more organic and even more likely to leave a lasting imprint. The synths are no more – but the Celtic soul remains.

Simple Minds are now dead for me.
