This correspondent is equally bemused despondent and concerned given the general inertia emanating from Liverpool 4. I suspect my fellow Toffee Your Shadow is too (nil satis nisi pessimist)

Like other Spurs supporters...I'm very optimistic! Just to clarify that optimism: we will not get Champions League end of the season - we won't go to fourth or fifth, very possibly sixth.

No, what I'm optimistic about is: the deadwood are out, and a very young team bursting with talent are in.

I don't think we will win any major cups etc but I think we will play very attractive and very exciting football. That's about all I'm expecting this season.

Oh, and another striker so Kane isn't all on his lonesome would be nice.

We should stay up.

If we keep Beradhino we should finish in the top 10.

Indeed Ivan. I don't think much optimism is emanating from the blue side of the city at all.

Still no cover at centre back or up front and no playmaker in midfield. Sure Roberto still has time but the fans would like players in before the start of the season so they can 'bed in' as early as possible.Plus all the teams that were around us last season are improving their squads whilst we're standing still.

The fans also feel that the performances during pre-season suggest more of what we saw last season. That is boring, slow play with little end result. Defensively we still look suspect at dead ball situations and teams with pace cut us open too easily. So all in all, no-one is expecting much this season.

Last night I expected a trouncing and we got one.

Pulis set the team up wrong. And he admitted it.

Man City were on fire.

Gold help the rest of the premiership.

I've still yet to see what my lot can do - apart from the mistake by Walker - it was a fairly even game and would've been 0-0. Stoke on Saturday - might be a bit more exciting. I hope so.

Arsenal - HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

An Amazing injury -time goal equalising from a Dutch goalie. "Shexy Shoccer" as Gullit might call it
