Thank you for posting the link. I don't think it'll problem posting the link has John is mentioned in the interview. It felt a bit strange when Karborn referred to John as his "old man".

I'm sure John's musical career must of had a big influence on Karborn's artistic skills now.

When you read bits about city scapes and especially "shifting city" it suggests a strong influence by Dad - all very interesting, and the artwork included has given me a idea for some portaits I wanted to do! Thanks for posting!

If you download the pdf file (19.5 MB) of the magazine issue you'll find the fully illustrated feature on pages 47 - 49 of the file.

"Foxx originally released Burning Car on a 10inch picture disc in 1980 - an awesomely scarce affair, with cold and electronic visions of the future." (from http://www.karborn.com/index.php?/project/burning-car--20th-century/ )

Am I correct in believing this to be incorrect? I have the UK 7" picture disc, and even the Japanese EP is 12" with an oversized label - there is nothing else?

You are correct - it is incorrect...

Burning Car was available as a regular seven inch single in the UK and Germany . It was also available as a picture disc in the UK, and it was the name of a twelve inch EP in Japan . Perhaps the confusion has come about because of the large picture label the Japanese EP had?

Thanks for the clarification, Rob.

As an unapologetic collector since the first Ultravox single, I hate that feeling in the pit of my stomach when it's mooted that I've missed something! I didn't know about the second Exotour CD in advance, so was delighted to get the last one available at the Bristol gig.
