Just wanted to say that I thoroughly enjoyed last night! Not sure I'd want to see them at the Apollo again though - not been there since Sylvian in '88 so completely forgot about the seating.

"Hi!" again to Rob, Peter and Brian who I bumped into last night!

Great show at the Vox Club last night - it really was a cracking performance and they are still a great live band no doubt about it.
Good setlist with all the hits and more...
Thanks guys for Rage in Eden (track), Thin Wall, Passing Strangers, Astradyne (Billie's baby?) Sleepwalk and The Voice with the drums at the end.
I even enjoyed Visions in Blue and Lament! ..
Midge seemed genuinely impressed that everyone knew all the word to Hymn ..one of their best known songs over here.

Excellent lighting by Chris, who I was glad to meet (facebook does have it's positive side..) and good to see you again Federica ..

Only criticism would be that Warren Cann's voice was a bit too low, even during Mr X .....but never mind, they were faultless..

Just wondering if Midge (who amazingly never took his jacket off) is auditioning for Kraftwerk or trying to look like that band leader bloke on the David Letterman Show. laugh

Just joking .. great show, great night out. My appreciation of Ultravox has been re-kindled although I suppose that's what these reunion things are about.

Glad you enjoyed it Mark.Do you have some pics for us?

I did Birmingham,Hammersmith & Bristol in the end.

Just about recovered now.

Here are links to all pics I've posted over the last week in slideshow form (no adverts this time)in one place rather than linking to EV.

Yes I do look a little worse for wear at the Voxgate but due to the Miracles of Panasonics optical stabilisation tech,my pics still came out.

Sorry no pics...but some might be forthcoming from another source soon .. wink
I see there are some very bad quality vids on youtube but nothing better than yours (which take some beating!) . .actually I think they were done by the burke in front of me who kept holding his i-phone up and blocking my view! mad

Totally anorak stuff but is it just me or does Billie play a bit of Paths and Angles on Astradyne . .or dies P&A come from Astradyne?

Speaking of anoraks I've discovered a site with setlists and I've put this one up ... Vox setlist

Cheers Mark,

There is one area that could improve & thats the sound.

The automatic level controls causes the sound to pump up and down. You may not hear this on youtube but I can hear it when I play them back on my PS3.

Hopefully the successor to my Panasonic Lumix TZ10 will have manual volume recording levels then it will be just about the most perfect all in one concert going camera I've ever had.

Saw them last night in Amsterdam!
In short, it was a great gig!
Great music, good sound and to top it a great crowd.
It was not as good as Hammersmith last year in my opinion.
I sat on the second balcony this time, being not that tall that's a plus, and so I had a great view on the stage from above.
They mixed the songs a little and I heard some new ones as well, New Europeans & White China.
They should have kept Astradyne as opening song, nothing beats that in my opinion.
I guess New Europeans has something to do with touring Europe wink

A great gig, for those who didn't see them yet; GO!
