What a fantastic night. cool

It was great to meet Cerise & Feorag for the first time in the Tap & Spile before hand for a pint & a natter.

Also nice to see Rob.

Turned out that H was sitting directly in front of me in the venue so he introduced himself.

Also bumped into Chris Curran when I was buying a program.

Your lighting was magnificent as usual matey.

Last time I saw Ultravox play was 1986 at the NEC.
It was sad because that version was missing a vital part of its machinery,Warren Cann.

Last night I witnessed a rebirth with all the cogs.

The Ultravox machine is fixed & the good news is that it sounds even better than ever.

Dont let the comments about the sound mix put you off.The power & the glory is still there. :excited:

If you have not bought your ticket yet you ought to get a move on.

The set list has also changed from other shows. It was as follows:-

Astradyne
Passing Strangers
We stand alone
MR X
Visions in Blue
Thin Wall
Death in the Afternoon
RIE
Lament
One Small Day
All Stood still
Your name has slipped my mind again
Vienna
Reap the wild wind
DWTIME
Hymn

==== Encore ====
Sleepwalk
The Voice

I think it probably works better in this order.

After the show we went back to the Tap & Spile where I bumped into H again.

Finally got back to the carpark to get stuck in an almightly traffic jam for half an hour.

This was not bad news though because who should be walking up the ramp but Warren Cann.

So I got out of my car to say a quick hello & got my picture taken with him.

What an end to the night. :woohoo:

I took quite a few pictures.Here are a few:-

Here is a slideshow of the best images:-

Great photos Brian, thanks for posting the link, I love the look of the stage lights behind the guys, certainly seems like a very dynamic performance going on.

Cheers mate, they were very dynamic, they've all still got it laugh

Stage lights were very similar to what I saw at Stereophics gig I went to a few months back.

They were a mosaic that would show video or images.Sometimes they show Billy's hands playing keyboards (dont know if this was a live or pre-recorded feed though).

Here are a few more taken by my brother Kerry on his HD camcorder.

He was constantly getting told off for using it but he was mostly taking stills.

Thanks Ultravox, it was a fantastic night. We didn't have time to meet up in the pub before the gig which was a shame. The train was a bit late and we arrived at the venue at 19:30 so we had a drink in the bar.

The years rolled back and the sound was superb. We were worried at first as we were on the front row to the right of the stage. Thankfully (for us), it was not too loud.

A wonderful night. We were "requested" by security not to use flash. Most of the photos still came out ok. Here are a few photos.

I've compiled a quick video featuring some of the pictures I took at the Birmingham gig and also a few low res video clips took on my digital camera. Plus some added effects for good measure.
