John has been interviewed on film (Synth Britannia), the internet, CDs, radio etc in recent years more than ever before, so I don't feel we're really due another interview - he does need to maintain his elusive quiet man status wink

Personally I think one interview in whatever form, covering The Garden, TGS etc would be nice, but not essential. I certainly don't think there should be one CD for each, that would be totally over-egging the pudding.

I'd rather hear him talk about new and future projects, especially since it's well over a year since the remasters. It's a bit late now, so the emphasis ought to be on the new.

I agree with Alex. I dont think he was being negative but just expressing his opinion. I also would like to hear about forthcoming new material. However, I buy everything that John Foxx does musically so I am quite happy to pay just over a tenner for this. Please let us not get all het up and bitchy like the extreme voice forum.

if John did an interview disc, same as Gary Numan has just done,i would buy it watch it once stick it on a shelf, so not really worried about having an interview disc just keep the music coming.

I agree with Alex. This is my personnal opinion, I'd only watch a DVD once and it would end up on the shelf, just like Nightporter says. I have quite a few of Johns recent interviews stored on my PC from various sources and again I only listen to them once. Don't get me wrong I love listening to John's interviews but only once.

Bring on the music, now that's another thing. smile

I often come back to these interviews. They have a historic importance.

Rather than me add to continuing to divert this thread from its path, and regarding an 'interview DVD':

I agree, I think they would be perfect as podcasts. It may come down to taste, but I think that's a far more convenient and economical format for an interview rather than having to make and buy a CD.

I only listened to Metal Beat once - after that I was more eager to hear the demo tracks!
