Inspired by Mike's poll idea, I have put together 25 questions about John and Louis' career during 2008, which I thought would present a fun challenge to you all during this Advent period.
They will be 'released' in batches of five over the next couple of weeks.

All the answers can be found either here on the Forum (or at least referenced/linked to from here), elsewhere at metamatic.com, or at the other 'official' sites at http://www.thequietman.co.uk or http://myspace.com/foxxmetamatic , but they might just require a bit of looking for... wink

I hope they are pitched right to give everyone at least a few puzzlers. The answers will be posted sometime next week, when the next questions will be set.

Don't post them before that please - to give others a chance to come by and have a go.

No prizes, its just for... er... fun??
Happy Christmas cool

Here We Go

01 What is the name of the Mojo compilation CD that features the Metamatic track 'Burning Car'?

02 'Return of the Red Eye' is one of the tracks on Louis Gordon's 2008 album Blind Anorexic. Which home produced release previously contained the same track?

03 Name two of the remixes on the Never Been Here Before 12" single

04 Who described John Foxx this year as a 'synth maverick?'

05 How does Jori Hulkonnen describe the piano track on Never Been Here Before?

Thanks for this Martin. I think the pitch is spot on (I will need to do a bit of research for questions 3, 4 and 5!).

Eh? I've been away from the UK for a long time now, but is this the guy that used to go around with that giant emu? Never had him down as a music buff.

I was in a surreal frame of mind I thought "Person least likely too"
I've just googled Rod To my chagrin I discovered he is no longer with us , fell off his roof while trying to set up a satellite dish
Solenoid is right , big massive Emu with which he once attacked Michael Parkinson He should have been awarded a knighthood for that

The answers to the first five questions are:

01 OK_Computer

02 Deep Electric Blue

03 Jeff Bennett Mix/Jori Hulkkonen dub/Sasse dub/Sasse vocal

04 Paul Daley, aka Leftfield on the collaboration project

05 In the interview with metamatic.com, Jori says - I ended up drawing the shape of Alvar Aalto's classic Finnish vase on a graphic sequencer... the piano and the counteracting synthbassline actually come from this.

Five more questions in a similar vein:

06 Which of the following is the odd one out, and why:
Friendly Fire, Kurfurstendamm, 030, Ghosts on Water, Dislocated

07 Which popular local band supported John and Louis at their Brisbane gig?

08 Who interviewed John for Australia's Rip It Up magazine?

09 Name two of the tracks performed 'live to air' by John and Louis for PBS106.7FM in Melbourne.

10 What is the highest price reached so far (May 2008) on eBay for a copy of Exotour 97?
