Hallo everybody,
I copy and paste my intro from the Sax on the web forum where I subscribed last year when this forum didn't exist yet (I guess it didn't). I think it fits the task here even though I know it's a bit weird (maybe in some Foxxy way). The music and the lyrics of records like Systems of Romance and Metamatic are among the main reasons why I decided to become a musician and a writer about 25 years ago (I used to draw comix and study philosophy at that time).

Hallo,
I should have done this last month when I actually registered here but didn't occur about this thread. Ok, my name is Franco, i'm italian. I play sax of course alto and bari and also do exercise with flute cause I think is good for my embouchure. I'm 44 and started studying in 1998. I am not interested in achieving any special technique for myself. I'm too old but I do my best to not be too wise: I think sax can be a useful tool for me to do my amateurish and homemade compositions. I really like this group - so many intriguing and useful informations. I didn't expect to find one so good. I knew about this group by reading a message in yahoo justjazz discussion group which I think many should know already here. My nickname is metalbari because I play bari but not because I play a metal mouthpiece. I used to play a metal link nr6 before but lately I prefer a hard rubber link nr6* (medium rico reed). I thought to this nick before it sounds like metalbeat, the old john foxx song and label which I like very much. A recent concert I've been to was the slim jim phantom rockabilly trio a couple of weeks ago. So you know something about my musical interests. Well it's all. Be patient with my english.
