I'm replying this after circa 1 year (I'm new). I think, like a number of fans are believing, he probably he was born in 1947. Why? According to The Golden Section Tour booklet, he was a mod and a hippy, it's easy to think he's a very 1940s born, being mod an early-to-mid 1960s fashion and hippy a late-1960s thing; somebody answered he talked about his life in the sixties; and Mr. Foxx said in an interview, i think, in the late 1960s he was interested in musical things, like T. Rex. Commenting his life in the 1960s can be the reason some or many believe he was born in 1947 for example. Rod Stewart (b. 1945), Marc Bolan (b.1947) were also mods. People like Peter Gabriel (1950) or Hugh Cornwell (1949) could be hippies (it couldn't be if there were somebody born in 1949 and was a mod, but it could be very young, the hippie era was from 1966/67/or 68 to 1969, or 70, i think).

So was 030 a reference to his age in 1980?

Just to confuse things I worked as a barman in Torquay in 81 The head barman was about 28 (7 years older than me) He was from Chorley When he asked me what music I was into ,I obviously started with JF "oh yon Dennis Leigh . A went skule wi'him" He didn't say whether they were in the same year or not If so ,it favours the 55/56 hypothesis
