What makes you say that?
Because I'm an aquarius and I really relate to John's work and thinking - in the same way I do to Peter Gabriel's - who's also an aquarian!

That's also a coincidence Shadowman that you were born in 63 and John mentions 63 in 030

Not into star signs and all that myself but I'm a capricorn if that means anything to anyone.

That made me smile smile when I read your post Alex about a new Kind of Man being me but I doubt that very much but it's a nice thought.

wow . .all these Acquarians . .well we are supposed to be very interested in the future and technology and a sort of particular way of looking at the world as a whole so it sort of figures. Let's hope Mr Leigh is also an Acquarian !

In December 2003 I met a guy who went to Art College with John and he said that John was the same, or very nearly the same, age as him. The guy was 52 then.

He claims to have attended the Pink Floyd gig at Ally Pally in 1967 and I would imagine he was at least 14 if not older.

JF claimed at the time that 'A New Kind Of Man' was about himself and his reinventing himself and the 'sound' that was on Metamatic.

I have said this somewhere before, back at the EV site I think, but I seem to remember an interview around the time of The Garden that mentioned John was 28 at the time. Mind you, the reliability of the source (not to mention the reliability of my memory) is potentially questionable.

Astrology: Bunkum started by tanked-up members of earlier civilisations, with nothing better to do.

I used to work for a Newspaper. Their "Astrologist" had a drawer full of scraps of such waffle.
She simply picked a (not always) different one each day, typed it up and printed it.
No one ever noticed this.
