I read on Extreme Voice that Tara (Mrs.X) died on the evening to 3rd February.

Some of you will know her from the days on E.V.
and later from her site Torque Point.

A very kind lady...

Rest in Peace, Tara. frown

Terrible news it is Andreas.

I'm still quite shocked after finding out early this morning.

RIP Tara Pope

I've just read the news on EV. I'm totally shocked. She had such enthusiasm for everything Ultravox.

Very sad news indeed. I was lucky enough to have been able to meet her, whilst she was in the UK a few years ago.

R.I.P Tara.

Rest in Peace, Tara.
Like Peter, I met Mrs X when she last came to the UK. Her enthusiasm for all things FoxxVox was inspiring, especially her adniration of Warren Cann wink

Andrew - you will be in my prayers his coming weekend.

I am also reading on the Ultravox forum of the death of photographer Peter Gilbert this week...?

Yes, I read this too...
He was the guy who made all these rare photos for the Past,Present and Future book. Read it again yesterday.
Do anyone knowing his age? I assume he wasn't very old... frown

It seems to have been a bad week all round. frown

I didnt know Peter but I knew he co-ran the Ultravox Information Service back in the early 80s which I used to read (from a friends copy)

Also found out he ran Flag Promotions & gave many artists that we know their first break.

Had an email in my inbox this morning saying that Numan convention at the Robin 2 Bilston had been cancelled due to Peters death.

Looks like he was working in the background all this time & most of us never even realised.

There are many comments & re-collections about Peter over at EV.Including one post from Chris Cross.

In an age before the Internet, paper based news letters were all we had.Thankyou for your part in UIS Peter.I still have the final copy somewhere...

Rest in Peace.

Peter took a lot of photos of John for The Garden, and many of the promotional posters etc from that period include his work.

He was involved in the John Foxx Information Service too, back in the day.

Sad news indeed.

I saw this the day before I was due to move house and didn't really have time to compose a comment. Have only just regained internet access.

I remember she was kind enough to listen to and comment on The Fear Leaders on Torque Point.

She always seemed from her posts to be (among other things) gutsy, intelligent and funny.

Sad news indeed. RIP.
