33 YEARS AGO TODAY !!! It's a good job they haven't brought in compulsory euthanasia !!

Obviously I was only 4 years old and like John ,prior to the gig I'd done an 8 hour shift downt' pit and had read the Futurist Manifesto , top bloke that F T Marinetti !!

The bloody useless youth of today !!

Wow, I'm jealous of so many people here - there is real history!

My first gig was probably the greatest show I've seen (read that carefully - not the greatest gig, but the greatest show) and was by a guy named Gary Numan who had had enough of show busines and decided to retire. Can't quite recall the year, but '82 seems right. It was his FIRST farewell concert.

Fantastic lights and atmosphere, great setlist, and we weren't too far back. I'm in debt to my best mate of the time (Ray) for getting the tickets. Good support too by "Shock".

It may come out on DVD soon I believe, one to watch for!

First gig for me was by an outfit some of you on here may have heard of called Ultravox!!! It was in the SFX hall in Dublin on the Monument Tour. I was right up the front and had a blast. Just a shame that the new tour isn't visiting Dublin. I'd be there in a flash.

Gary Numan - The Fury tour - Sheffield City Hall.

I seem to remember all the stage & PA equipment was white, it was all marked and tatty looking though.
There were loads of lookalikes and gothy sorts in the audience.

I was 12 and looked it!

As far as I know (I could be wrong), FB3 split in the early 80's after releasing two albums.

FB3's Terry Hall made an album in 1994 called Home . With a little help from XTC's Andy Partridge. It's a good one! smile
