Hmmmm, are you forgetting the wealth of material right in front of you? I mean, how can you compete with "Slow burning stars, tumble across your shoulder". What more do you need to set you alight?

Ahh, I am angry!

Can't you take an "Anger Management " course smile

Seriously tho , as we're on a John Foxx site It's obvious the great man is up there "this whirlpool's got such seductive furniture " is one which springs to mind I've already paraphased fey Mancunian Morrisey ,. so once again "there's more to life than John Foxx , but not much more "
So hit me with one of your favourite non Foxx related lyrics

My 'current' favourite lyricist is the fabulous Baby Dee
whose album The Robin's Tiny Throat is up there with the best of them.

You can buy me for the price of a sparrow

springs immediately to mind.

Nick Cave
Morrissey
Marc Almond

Ian Dury:

"Geraldine -
That's the nicest badge I've ever seen"

Captures perfectly that moment when you speak to the object of your eyes desire for the first time, and make a complete idiot of yourself when the words won't come out

Nice topic cool

I now bow to your superior knowledge who's the wordsmith for Carter USM Jim Bob or Fruit Bat ? Their lyrics are never short of excellent

I'd always assumed it was fruitbat himself - Les Carter, the main man. But at least its given me an opportunity to listen to them again.
