Yeah, a lot of Low would fit very well, and apart from the obvious melancholy running through the tracks, there’s muted feelings of angst, and a dizzy drunken quality to some of the music, which often makes me feel that the voice of the singer is slightly at a distance from the song, like a person almost out of sync with their surroundings.
Correct me if I’m wrong, as I’ve not seen the film since ‘82, but is there a scene with Bowie on a park bench holding an LP, and on the cover it’s called the Visitor? I think this contributed to the 'missing' soundtrack speculation.
