Gary is planning to take the Pleasure Principle tour to the states this autumn and the set will
"include tracks from the forthcoming album Splinter".

So it at least sounds like he is still moving forward with the new material. Here's hoping ...

This would be the first time ever that Automatic would be available on CD format, right?

No, it was available on CD when it first came out.

Surely once was enough?!

For the technical music makers out there, its worth noting that Computer Music #155 (the one with Foxx in) features Hardware vs Software including a 'step by step' guide to the making of The Fall narrated by Numan with screenshots of all the software settings etc - Guitar Rig, Melodyne, Pedalboard etc

all greek to me, but what do I know

Blimey!

At long last (whether this is good news or not is yet to be determined) the Sharpe & Numan 1989 album "Automatic" is being reissued!!

I bet Gary's over the moon about this!

Here's the Gary Numan take on the forthcoming gig(s): -

Quote:
Just to clarify what's going on at the Back To The Phuture shows in Manchester and London this December. The Gary Numan set will be a full show of about an hour and a half to an an hour and forty five minutes, Recoil and John Foxx will be playing live sets for about an hour each, plus there will be a live set from Motor, who will be supporting me on some of the US Pleasure Principle shows. The nights will also include excellent DJ sets from Cabaret Voltaire's Richard H Kirk and Mark Jones. This is a slight departure for me and I'm very excited to be part of these Back To The Phuture shows. Really looking forward to playing in Manchester and London again, especially with such a great line up of bands.

Numan was featured and interviewed this evening on The One Show (BBC1, 7pm) in an extended piece on Are 'Friends' Electric?
