Now, I'm curious about the inclusion of "Photograph" here - that's a Telekon b-side. Maybe it started life back in '79...

The LO'79 tracks are the original versions, which in my opinion sound better than the remixed ones that appeared on the double cd of LO'79.

Yes, 'Photograph', was recorded at Freerange as part of the early sessions for TPP.

Hmm, don't know whether it's worth buying this one. It's the same situation as Replicas Redux. These new editions are really for the guys out there who've only just decided/ realised they're fans. Now's a great time for them, I'm sure.

Erm, this may be a mildly idiotic question but why exactly were the box sets called Living Ornaments?

Update of info:

Although recorded as part of the freerange sessions, this version of 'Photograph' is a remaster of the track that does appear on the 'Telekon' cd.
'Trois Gymnopedies' is a demo version from freerange studios, and is not the version on the 'Telekon' cd.

I'll be booking my ticket for Southampton Uni as soon as I can. Saw Replicas last year(?) and it was a good nostalgic show

Personally, I think its great value. This is superb album and deserves this definitve treatment.

Now is indeed a great time. cool

It certainly is great news. I've pre-ordered my copy & have downloaded the demo version of 'Conversation' which is excellent.

I've been playing 'TPP' a heck of a lot over the last month or so & there is no sign of my ears getting tired of it. In fact I have been up in my studio listening to Metal, Films, Observer, Conversation, Cars & Random, tonight. The music sounds so fresh. Just like 'Metamatic' still does.

'TPP' is the album that sealed it for me. It was the one where I became a Numanoid.

Spot on.

It is the definitive Numan album for me, and one that I never tire of. Even the quirky "Cars", despite its hundreds of reissues, still holds a certain charm.

The new CD will certainly be an ideal way to attract new fans, especially since it hasn't been on the shelves for a while now.

Out of all his early works I think this is the important one.

Have to agree of course. I think it has something to do with TPP and GN being so unique at the time. There was just nothing else like it.
