Dusting off
The Dark Side Of The Moon CD last week.
Two things always occur to me when reacquainting myself with it, that, I’ve never ever warmed to the track Money, it sticks out for me, spoiling the flow after the atmospheric The Great Gig In The Sky, (okay, it was the start of side 2 in the olden days).
The main thing though is how emotionally charged this album leaves me feeling, such resonating songs such as Us And Them, with simplistic, almost childlike lyrics, but so perfect in meaning:
“With, without. And who'll deny that's what the fighting’s all about.
Get out of the way, it's a busy day, and I've got things on my mind.
For want of the price of tea and a slice, the old man died”genius
