I'm rediscovering some lesser known works by John Foxx

This week, I played a copy of the material for The Bed soundtrack for the first time in a couple of years, and was taken aback by its sudden transition into a very contemporary piece!
Seriously, it really sounds as if it would fit onto his recent releases and sound like it had only just been written.

I've also been absorbed into Drift Music which I have always considered to be one of John's more abstract and innovative pieces.
It is mind-altering in a psychelic kind of way, and really changes the mood. It filters through my brain in a way that few - if any - other music does.

Overlooked. I chose it as a Desert Island album, and I can totally see why.

Any Nurse with Wound fans here?

I am getting into them, and could do with a recommended start point.

Suggests that I'm on a slippery slope tonight.
Currently (ha!) standing at the top looking down, holding hands with Xmal Deutschland

Often wondered if there's any connection/echo/memory between Qual and Swimmer 1

Or do they just 'sound similar cos they're recorded on the same kit...?

Probably the best thing he's done in decades.
An outstanding album, I don't think its getting the airplay it deserves.

Bibio: Vignetting the Compost

didn't much play this album when I got it last year, but been playing it quite a lot over the last week on any sunnier days that we've had (as is this morning's),

It's the best thing I've heard this year, and better than the last few SM albums combined!

It is seriously underrated.

THE CURE - 'Pornography' all week because that's the kind of mood I've been in.

I must fight this sickness
Find a cure

but in the meantime I'm going to listen to it again.

I find it very cathartic.
