The booklet makes interesting reading..

The music seems to be the "missing link" between "the Garden" era albums and Cathedral Oceans, but apparently pre-dates both.

First impression? WOW! BLOODY HELL!
Favourite Track? Imperfect Hymn.

Does it give you more information as to when and where the pieces were recorded?

Not 'specifically'. The sleevenotes don't identify either the studio used or the date that each particular piece was recorded.
