John Foxx and Louis Gordon will now be playing TWO shows on Saturday the 24th of November at The Luminaire in London. The 'free' T-Shirt gig will be a special matinee performance at 5:00pm. Their set will include the Top five requested songs, along with a couple of other surprises... laugh

The second performance will be at 9:00pm and is going to be a ticketed show - which means that you will NOT get 'free' entry wearing a From Trash T-Shirt. Tickets are £8.00 in advance or £10.00 on the door. The Top five songs chosen by you will again be featured along with a couple of changes to the set.

We've decided to do this so that if anyone cannot get in to the matinee show (wearing a From Trash T-Shirt) because it is FULL when they arrive, we will take their names, put them on the guest-list, and guarantee them entry to the evening show.

Therefore, please DON'T turn up at the evening show expecting to gain 'free' entry because you are wearing a From Trash T-Shirt unless we've confirmed that with you earlier in the afternoon.

The ticket prices have deliberately been kept lower than normal for the evening show so that anyone who wants to make a night of it can come along to both performances. laugh

Does anyone know if it is possible to get to the center by underground after the gig?
It's about going to Stansted airport straight after the gig or staying over for another day in London.
Thats my dilemma wink

any comments/tips are welcome.
greetings,
fons

Hi Fons
Are you just coming for the free T-shirt gig in the afternoon or staying for the extra concert in the evening?

I'm staying overnight in a pub near the venue called the Red Lion ( Kilburn) . There rates are £33 per night.

The stations local to The Luminaire are: it is almost next to Brondesbury Train station, OR 2 min walk south from Kilburn Tube (Jubilee Line), OR about 5 mins walk north of Kilburn High Road (which is 2 stops from Euston - operated by Silverlink Metro).

Well, i hope to attend both the afternoon & evening gig...Shirt i have, ticket as well smile
I was trying to find out if i can get back to the city center in reasonable time.
I have a few options ranging from sleeping on Stansted airport to sleeping at a friends house in London on the couch or this Red Lion Pub.
I'll just book a flight and see whats coming i guess.

Thanks for the replies!

Hi Fons,

Sorry to not to have replied earlier. Unless you have a extremely late flight, I think you'll find it difficult to get back to to the airport without missing (at least some part of) the evening gig - the train from Liverpool Street is roughly 45 minutes, and judging by the timetable would not be an option given the time needed to get through customs, etc, to catch the plane.

Good luck with the sofa and floor hunting though - see you at the gig!

smile

Hello Andreas,

well i am staying over at my friends house.
It is fairly close to Kilburn as i understood.
Somewhere near Highgate, but then again they can tell me anything about London...have been there only once before.
Ah well, i can speak English, German and a little Polish (useful in London! wink ) so i think i will manage :p
Will be great to meet you all there! smile

greetings!
fons

p.s. i'll be there both Saturday and Sunday

Highgate is a nice good looking part of London.

I strolled with Peter through Highgate as we visited the Highgate cemetery. Watched John's place for influence of his Cathedral Oceans project.

It is really worth to go there!

See you at Luminaire, fons! wink

Yes, I'll look forward to seeing you again as well, Andy wink . It's like a family reunion...Oh yeah, have you decided if you're coming to Leeds yet?

I shall probably only be at the evening gig (can't get hold of that T-shirt, it seems frown ), but the gigs are meant to be practically the same, aren't they? Oh well... As for you, Madame Bradshaw, I'll see you very soon laugh .

Hi! A few of us are staying at the Black Lion Guesthouse in Kilburn. Literally 'down the road' from the Luminaire. They may have some rooms left, so maybe that could be an option for you if you need a room? laugh

Hi Sarah, Hi Andreas

Thank you for the info Sarah, I have filled in the online form so hopefully they will get back to me soon. smile

My hunch is that it will be pretty popular. But there's still time for alternatives.

Really looking forward to this gig/gathering. laugh

Thanks again! I'm in so I will see you guys at the hotel I guess.

Just out of interest, why are we having a T shirt gig in November, won't it be, like, cold or something? wink

I would suggest there's still time to make some John Foxx fleeces available ... or longJohns.

Just a very quick reminder... wink

John Foxx and Louis Gordon will now be playing TWO shows on Saturday the 24th of November at The Luminaire in London.

The first (special matinee) performance will be at 5:00pm (doors to open at 4:00pm) and will be the 'free' T-Shirt gig, admission to which is entirely dependent on your wearing a From Trash T-Shirt. Their set will include the top five requested songs, along with a couple of other surprises.

The second performance will be at 9:00pm (doors to re-open at 8:00pm) and is a ticketed show - which means that you will NOT get 'free' entry wearing a From Trash T-Shirt. The top five songs chosen by you will once again be featured, together with a couple of other changes to the set.

We've decided to do this so that if anyone cannot get in to the matinee show (wearing a From Trash T-Shirt) because it is FULL when they arrive, we will take their names, put them on the guest-list, and guarantee them entry to the evening show.

Therefore, please DON'T turn up at the evening show expecting to gain 'free' entry because you're wearing a From Trash T-Shirt unless we've confirmed that with you earlier in the afternoon.
