Foxx’s life in visual art, created in collaboration with
Barnbrook.

The event will also include the chance to hear
John Foxx’s seminal ambient work
Cathedral Oceans as an immersive audio installation using d&b Soundscape as part of the programme.
Electricity And Ghosts (available from
johnfoxxbook.com) includes drawing, photography, painting, graphic art, sculpture and collage, with the artist’s visual language ranging from the introspective figure of
The Quiet Man and the overgrown ruins of
Cathedral Oceans to ‘70s cyber-punk experiments with cut-up imagery. There are also many previously unseen drawings.
For me, drawing is a means of understanding, explains
Foxx.
It has been the foundation of almost everything I’ve done – including music.The 4.30pm session will be an opportunity to listen to
John Foxx’s album
Cathedral Oceans on the d&b Soundscape system only. The 6pm session will feature both the album playback and discussion. The 4:30pm session will last approximately 60 minutes, without an interval. The 6pm session will last approximately 90 minutes, without an interval.
