Brilliant news!!!

Great to see the attention to pricing as well.
A longer set with 'accompaniments' is good value for money - somehow adds to the 'credibility', if such a thing were needed.
cool

What a shame, one show and London. Midweek.

Too bad it isn't a bit more central. There's no way I could justify London on a Thursday mad frown

Excellent news about the gig. Cargo's a great venue, so we're looking forward to being able to see John later in the year.

Rob - Is there any possibility that there may be a live cd or dvd of this show?

I'd hesitate to say 'obviously'. ..
As Rob said, it's not impossible.
But I am not convinced that's the reason for the longer show. As its the only UK performance this year, I wonder if this is the start of a move towards extended but less frequent performances?
For my money, the higher price also suggests this is an option John might be considering.

But of course, having said that, an official 'live ' DVD would be rather lovely cool

The year's not over yet. At least, nothing's been announced past October.

Have any of you good folk that are attending the Cargo gig investigated the accommodation situation yet?

I have just had a scan and noticed that there is a hotel virtually on top of the place. The Crowne Plaza: only £179 per night (and that's with a 31% discount for booking now!) mad I could get a copy of Shifting City for that kind of money laugh

My current plan is to go to this gig, and hopefully I can find somewhere in walking distance so I can stagger back afterwards.

Hmmmmmm .......

If you're no larger than a cat, swing round to Garry's.

There's a couple of Travelodges relatively close to the venue. The one at City Road (near old Street station) is available with rooms at £59.
