I've seen that discussed already on either EV or Facebook can't remember which.

Consensus was that it's a COPY of master tape used for LP production abroad.

Not THE master tape.

Also some of the other pictures mention Townhouse Tape duplication which are evidence of this,

Absolutely, this definitely isn't the master tape - that's safe and sound.

Yep - thought as much, phew! laugh

I once saw an acetate for We Came To Dance upstairs in the rare record section of the Tape Exchange in Notting Hill. A whole £30! grin

All the same they are asking a lot for a copy of a tape of unknown generation.

How many copies down the line would it be from the original?

We all have multiple copies of the master tape in our CD & Vinyl collections smile

Yep! I've worked out that I've had six different copies on various formats over the years smile

Also - no idea how it was stored or anything.

The silly thing is that the item 'doubled in price' when the seller saw that a few people were watching it.

Absolutely, the way in which this tape (and all of the others which are being offered by the same seller) is absolutely key to this.
