Regrettably, it has just been announced that Saturday's events at The Playground Festival next week have been cancelled.

Neither JOHN FOXX AND THE MATHS or GARY NUMAN will be appearing as the schedule has been called off due to lack of ticket sales.

According to the organisers :

Fridays nights event will still proceed with slight changes including the addition of Squarepusher

All Saturday tickets are redeemable on Friday nights show along with separate dates that have been set up w/ James Lavelle [ UNKLE], The Orb, Pantha Du Prince Nathan Fake (official page), Luke Vibert, Wolfgang Flur, Cassius, +++ at KOKO London on the 13th July + 14th September of which further details will be released soon. All ticket buyers will be offered a + 1 for these shows if you would rather redeem them here.

Refunds will be offered for Saturday nights event + the difference on Weekend tickets if you don’t redeem these on our Friday night even or the separate shows set up at KOKO.
For those yet to purchase tickets, please take note that there are limited £27.50 tickets to Fridays nights event now so please grab these before they run out via www.theplaygroundfestival.com. With the addition of Squarepusher to Friday nights bill, ticket price will now go up to £35 in the next 24 hours.

The gig on Friday night - June 7th - at Concorde 2 in Brighton will go ahead as planned

My refund request is not going well.I emailed the address given and tonight they finally replied but with a standard mail shot type email which does not tell me how to claim a refund.It tells me that I need to do it by tomorrow but not how see below.

3 Options available are for Saturday/Weekend Ticket holders:

- Use the Saturday Ticket for the Friday Night

- Use the Saturday Ticket for a +1 at the KOKO show (above w/ James Lavelle
[UNKLE], The Orb, Pantha Du Prince Nathan Fake (official page),Luke Vibert,
Wolfgang Flur, Cassius, +++

- Claim a FULL Refund for Saturday and the difference for weekend tickets

Refunds will be offered for Saturday nights event + the difference on
Weekend tickets if you don¹t redeem these on our Friday night even or the
separate shows set up at KOKO.

***IMPORTANT***

The refund claims MUST BE SUBMITTED BY THURSDAY 6TH JUNE 5PM and will be
processed Friday 14th June & Monday 17th June 2013.

There are no refunds available for Friday night tickets due to the show
going ahead with the addition of SQUAREPUSHER LIVE.

If you purchased your tickets through TRACK IT DOWN then this is applicable.
For other Ticketing Vendors, please contact them directly.

For those yet to purchase tickets, please take note that there are limited

Those waiting on tickets to arrive:

Tickets are in the post and should be with you by Friday 7th June. If you
don't receive the tickets by this date, please bring receipt of purchase and
identification to claim the tickets back on the door.

And then a further email saying Friday night is cancelled and the company Is filing for Insolvency...

ANNOUNCEMENT: We are sad to say that after much of a battle here we have been left with no option but to cancel the entire Festival. After poor ticket sales and an investor parting ways with us we weren't able to rectify the matter.

Any tickets bought from Ticketweb, Resident Advisor, See Tickets, Skiddle, Stargreen, Wegottickets, Fatsoma, Artist Ticket, Groupon will be refunded immediately.

A limited number of Trackitdown tickets should be refunded immediately as they are holding a portion of funds here. Further announcements to be made about refunds and the status of the rescheduled 13th July event at KOKO.

After seven years of running events we appreciate all the support we have had so far although MEDIAGROUND LTD. Has been left with no option but to file for insolvency moving forward.

Good News.

I've been offered a refund by TrackItDown who are not part of the company that has gone bust.

The email was swallowed by my Hotmail spam filter though.

Just got my email from TICKETSCRIPT telling me to claim back directly from the bank, which I can do as it was under £100, and they had a link to the bank.
