I knew Numan was on it but not John so that was a nice surprise.

It was a pleasant surprise indeed to hear John's brief contribution to this programme.

Not surprisingly he talks about his liking for the earliest German electronica (Neu!, Can, Tangerine Dream etc) and then later about his discovery of Kraftwerk and their influence on his own thinking.

Only short pieces, and other similar contributions were added by Gary Numan, Johnny Marr, Karl Bartos and some archive material from Messrs Hütter and Schneider.

Finally got round to lsitening to it - interesting but a bit rushed, the History Of KW in less than 30 mins .. they deserved more. Wasted opportunity? nice to hear John, Numan oh and Martyn Ware.

Yes, Kraftwerk deserves a miniseries at the very least.
