It is with great sadness that we announce that David Sylvian will be unable to undertake the scheduled tour in March and April 2012.

David has sustained a lower back injury that is causing him significant pain and affecting his mobility to such a degree that, at this time, he will be unable to perform.

We are hoping that with medical care his condition will improve siginificantly, and that we'll be able to reschedule the tour at a later date. We're doing all that we can to bring this unanticipated setback to a positive conclusion.

David will be writing a personal note that we will post online shortly.

In the meantime, should any of you wish to return your tickets for a refund, please contact the venues / agencies from whom you purchased your tickets. They're currently being made aware of the situation.

To say I'm gutted would be a huge understatement.

Yes, definitely a shame. Like Core, I had it as a tentative plan which I hadn't gotten around to actually doing anything about yet. Let's hope he gets well soon.

I like the photo actually. And the tracklisyìting. There's one new track, innit.

I like the photo too. After the sleeve of "Died in the Wool", anything is an improvement.

It must be a huge undertaking to organise a European tour - I suspect it's so late in the year as getting venues must be quite a task.

Glad to see the dates rolling out - hopefully Sylvian is on the mend. Maybe we should all bring comics and Lucozade along to the gigs!

Dunno if anyone else noticed this? (I missed it to be honest);

"On 6th September 2011, Tin Drum was awarded BBC Radio 6 Music's 'Goldie' award posthumously for the best album of 1981."
