Re - rides; I'm up for either or both! I like the idea of the night ride, but not sure how exciting that'll be after an hour! I suspect most of Surrey and Sussex looks the same at night! So - the Day Ride is the toppermost poppermost for me. Whatever's easiest for you is probably the best way to do it.

Bloody good question – which I have no answer to! My Scott was written off a few years ago! I’m provisionally suggesting you bring the Bianchi and I’ll pick up a Peugeot Racer – they’re ubiquitous and easily repairable (if necessary).
