When Foxx get's to the mainland and within 2 hours of driving you just have to go
So I did end up in Belgium, not having a ticket it was a bit of a gamble....and a good gamble indeed.
And so on the 25th i departed to Aarschot Belgium which is about 1:45 hours driving from Rotterdam.
The Stadsfeestzaal (city festivity hall, city??) turned out to be a huge hall with the inside grandeur of a DDR tournament arena.
As I came in it was about 3/4 full I guess.
I did see a lot of people coming in just before Foxx came on so I guess they came for him only.
Some Belgian band (De Brassers?) was playing loud guitar stuff which reminded me of all the stuff i didn't like from the 80's.
Anyway, the band went on stage somewhere at 22:20
John set in a bit too early on Shatterproof as well here but that seemed quickly corrected.
And, loads of bass during the early part of Shatterproof which also seemed to dissapear during Shatterproof and on the later songs.
Overall it was quite a good gig, I enjoyed it a lot. Crowd reception seemed also good from my experience.
Even managed to jot down the setlist this time, seems I only missed "Watching A Building On Fire"
The band left stage at 23:30.
After the gig I gestured Hannah Peel (sorry, it was to loud to actually say something in there) into signing her cd for me & asked Steve M. if Rob came along which wasn't the case.
The setlist;
Shatterproof
He's a Liquid
Evergreen
No one driving
The Running Man
The Shadow Of His Former Self
Hiroshima Mon Amour
A New Kind of Man
Plaza
Dislocation
Interplay
Catwalk
Summerland
Just for a moment
Burning Car
And the encore being;
The Good Shadow
Underpass
Some photo's with my tiny color camera (next time I'll give video a go again
