Finally gave Kate Bush's Directors's Cuta proper listen this weekend..through headphones.
I think it's quite a special record.

Blondie for me this afternoon, and their first album 'Blondie'.

Still register the satisfaction I got when I first bought this having been 'awakened' by Debbie Harry performing Denis on the Pops.

First album and Plastic Letters are still raw and innovative. "I Didn't Have The Nerve To Say No" is one of my favourite album tracks ever

How about Plastic Letters for a 'best second album' award?

I'm not sure about this. Got it for Father's Day and wasn't impressed when I first played it. Since then, some of the tracks have really touched me, but now and then she doesn't quite get the vocals right etc and I feel disappointed.

Not having heard the majority of the tracks before it's all "new" to me and I like the kind of Aerial-y feel to it.
A track like "Moments of Pleasure" is what it says it is...and I'll stick my neck out and say I quite like the effects on "Deeper Understanding".

Anyway back to the future and it's:

Japan - Quiet Life
Depeche Mode - Remixes 81-11 / 2 - selected tracks.
Pink Floyd - Echoes

Simple Minds' Sons and Fascination/Sister Feelings Call all the way to work this morning,

MD, I have been paying Pink Floyd's Echoes compilation a lot recently - it's just fantastic.
