Mine's been shipped. It won't take long for it to arrive. I'm ecstatic about Metatronic. I wonder what the Easter Egg will be. It's long awaited along with Metadelic and hopefully Urban Motets.

John's music is both entertaining and educational. Yes it's another compilation but hey this one dates back to his reincarnation as....John Foxx again! laugh

Thanks once again John!

Burning Car is just brilliant. Cyberpunk sound. Shame it wasn't released that way. Underpass ending is good too. I am also impressed with the live mix on CD2. Sounds like it was a great gig. I thought we weren't getting a lot for our money ( as I have all the other stuff numerous times) but I am more than happy with the compilation and it is nice to get the DVD too. I wonder if the rest of the Shrewsbury 98 gig (Shifting City) was recorded and, if so, could it be released. Anyway, for those waiting, you won't be dissapointed.

Hope so.

It will give me more chance to work out whose back of head is mine. laugh

Seriously though, as I remember the whole gig was indeed filmed. In fact, Metamatic mailed out flyers for the show pre-advertising that it would be special as the intention was to film it all.

I'm not familiar with that Japanese Burning Car picture, is that really John? it looks more like a thin faced new-Romantic chap in fan-boy gear and highlights in his hair, but on the other hand, why is John wearing Gary Numans tie?

I always thought that John looked very oriental on the 7" cover sleeve, an image of John I was very much obsessed with back in the day, wishing to look like that (not easy as a slightly ginger scot, when I had hair!).

Looking at that picture now I wonder if there's anything to the 'Foxx influenced by Gary's style' argument, its a very Numanesque look on John.

I was somewhat surprised to pop into my local HMV (in Leeds) yesterday and find they had Metatronic in stock, albeit only one copy and costing £13.

Cheapest price online appears to be £8.95 at Amazon for the CD itself or a pound cheaper at iTunes and 7Digital if you just want the digital download.
