Well here's a bit of festive fun for Foxxy fans! 2009 has been quite a year as we all know, from My Lost City to Destination and all that came in between....so what was your favourite 2009 release Foxxites? Take part in this fun survey and let's see what was most popular ...

Although there's been a lot happening this year, live perfs, talks, exhibitions and whathaveyous, the survey is limited to CD releases / downloads, and I think we've included everything..

You're allowed up to three choices .. just a bit of fun .. no prizes but take minute to make your choices! laugh

Honestly!!..??..
Well,me,Im not too enthraled!!
been better years! imho
just recently bought the remaster of pleasures and,for one,I'm not that enamoured on the retake of what i consider a classic album, the extra bass here, extra rythems there..,some is great but in most part I prefer the original...
The jori stuff I hated!!
The The Maths Stuff again imho is good, not great but good.
What do I whant in 2010??
Dunno!!
A new, full on Foxx/Gordon album with a full tour,no more re-hashes of stuff we already have,...sorry!!. I hope I aint askin for to much and Santa will still come after this outburst!! :p

My Lost City, A Secret Life, Mirrorball, and The Quiet Man weren't rehashes. I think this was a pretty good year to be a John Foxx fan.

Not released THIS YEAR.

Just to keep debate raging, I'm thinking this is perhaps the most interesting year for aaages in terms of John Foxx material - performance, PR, material etc.
The variety, quality and qunatity of out put is unprecedented and John has opened up lots of curtains to shed light on his entire career

The only thing that has really grabbed my attention this year is the 'Destination' single. In fact, it's blown me away. Well worth the wait! I was also very impressed with the October remasters of SC and TPOE.

However:

A Secret Life - left me cold.
Mirrorball - not interested.
Quiet Man CD - would have preferred a book.

That just leaves My Lost City, which I did think was a nice collection of 'lost' pieces, but for me, it didn't have lasting appeal. But that means I get to re-discover it one day smile

Personally, 2006 is yet to be beaten as the "Best Foxx Year". However 2010 has been interesting from a production point of view, as it's given John the chance to expand his horizons and put out a wider range of releases, mainly concentrating on the "art" side of things.

I'm looking forward to 2010, especially to John Foxx and The Maths...
