I'm afraid I've got it (even though it is a double dip); the good thing I did not have was the DVD, and I'm glad to finally have that. This purchase will allow me to gift some of my old CDs to friends to introduce them to John's music so it's not all a lost effort.

Dec 25 here in Japan. I came home late last night - at a friends for a few drinks. Woke up today (Dec 25 is a working day in Japan) and found the box set in yesterdays post! Maybe Santa dropped it in there! Now I have to get through a whole day before I can experience it though!!!

Happy Christmas everyone!

Not having the original I can't confirm, so I ask here (the search function gave too many threads to check). Does the orignal "From Trash" have two track 6's on the sleeve? My box set version goes 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,6,9,10!

The CD does have track 8. Funny, wouldn't have noticed but I specifically selected 6 as I thought I was selecting "A Million Cars" but it played "Never Let Me Go". Track 8 is, of course, "A Million Cars".

Was there some re-ordering of the listing for this release? Just curious - hasn't spoilt my enjoyment one bit.

All in all, a nice collection and nicely presented too.

I think its no more than an unfortunate typo on the new sleeve frown

The tracklisting is exactly the same - its a repressing of the disc - so a Million Cars is indeed track '08' as per the original disc, although it does read '06' on the Cinemascope edition

And it came to pass that after two days of Christian feasting the MemberD did rise early from his bed for a messenger had calleth at his house heralding the arrival of a gift from a faraway land.
And the MemberD was filled with wonder when he did behold the package for it was borne by the messenger from the distant land of Lancashire at the Towns'End.
And thus he did open the package and a magical box it did contain with wondrous discs and tiny colour pictures within.
And he did play the discs for three whole days and nights and he did share the musical feasting with other households nearby....

Most excellent!

I love Cinemascope so much that I'm probably never going to play it...

The EBay seller (Fulfill) who had a few copies of the Drive EP at very reasonable prices now has a copy of Cinemascope for sale at £15.00;
