I also spotted a pair of 19" rack mount, six-track Tascam (or similar) PCM disc recorders, synced with timecode.

There was a stereo pair each for John, Louis and Steve D'Angostino, possibly the second machine was a fourth stereo pair for ambience/audience?

Both machines were definately running in record mode during TCM and Metamatic, so they basically have an excellent quality multitrack "soundboard" recording - hope I'm right wink

I'm impressed. laugh

This is an enjoyable live recording. Truly worth the buy.

I would welcome more of these recordings to be released officially. Even if it has to be in limited numbers, so as not to saturate the market of course. All for John's discerning faithful minority.

Great stuff!

Chris wink

A word advice for anyone holding back from buying Retro Future because they already have an Exotour cd - don't. This album has an added vitality and extreme sounds that you do not find on the live-in-the-studio albums and is a must for the hardcore Foxx fan.

Well said.

I found that most of the versions were vast improvements on the Exotour originals. They really come to life.
