At the gig I asked John about the release date for the new album & he said October. That is straight from the man.

October is a good month for a John Foxx album. Feels a long way off though!!

I'm really excited about The Math(s). Whilst impatient, I'm glad they're not rushing it out and working on it for as long as is needed to get a great result.

I absolutely love the sound of the new tracks from the video clips.

no pics but ..includes an audio bonus LP, ehem ..

Its says the JF & Maths album "..is due in July.." - is that so?

Also did anyone see Alex Proyas's video with the new Film One soundtrack? I don't recall many comments.
Sure did, it kicked off the Foxx part of the evening so to speak. I don't think people commented as it wasn't played live so effectively just the YouTube track on a large screen with even larger speakers. I liked it - it certainly has atmosphere, and it really did set the tone well. The guy in front of me was "tweeting" as it was playing, he twat(verb, past tense??) "Watching freaky film at beginning of John Foxx gig". I thought that was mildly amusing!

I realy liked the opening film, it has a real eerie atmosphere.
The music went hand in hand with it.
Somehow it reminded me of some japanese horror movies...but thats just me I guess wink

Here's a short video of the Roundhouse gear being set up and 'tested' by Steve d'Agostino and Benge on the Wednesday before the gig

LOL, I would have asked him that. Steve has accused me of being cheeky more than once... wink

Seriously, though--John has told me that 1. he was going to tour with Vincent Gallo in 2009, and 2. That the Battersea event was certainly going to happen in September 2009. The moral of the story: John doesn't really know, either.
