Oh, so John is referring to a Hindu ashram (Math).

Ade Fenton revealed his customised Apple ibook onstage at the recent John Foxx gig, it has a half-constructed Numan-automation (or Nu-maton) sitting in place of the key-pad. Sadly though, much as Ade frantically twiddled with his knobs, the Nu-maton dummy remained lifeless and failed to give a convincing performance as a Superstar DJ.

Amid much whirring and flashing of lights, the jack-in-a-box sprung open...
