Looking forward to hearing these live versions soon,

Wow! I just got back from the Area at Blade Runner's.
I am so happy that some members from the Forum had great time there together with me.
I was just right in front of John, he looked cheerful and happy.
He was so illuminous, glowing inside and casting glow to us all.
There are much to say, overflowing.
I need to resemble words to express how much I have appriciated the gig.

Dear fans and staffs, John and Louis.
thank you for you are there!

It was tremendous.
It certainly sounds like it was with a setlist like that. Excellent cross-section of tracks.

Great choice of songs, I'd be very happy to hear that list at a gig smile

These tracks are definitely the most interesting as they are not played very often..

I was scanning the web today, trying to see what the locals (here in Japan) though of the gigs. The media didn't seem to cover it at all (before or after the gigs), but several people posted entries into their blogs. If I were to transcribe and translate their comments (all in Japanese of course), the words would equal the enthusiasm on this forum. Everyone seems to have really enjoyed it, despite one guy admitting he had no idea what the first few songs were!

I hope for a return visit with Tiny Colour Movies!

Solenoid: My wife spotted actor Sano Shirou at the Sunday night gig with a couple of his mates (the other two were there on Monday also). His website has got a short review of it. He seemed very pleased. smile

Yes, thats the guy! I saw him too, but couldn't remember his name. Now that you mention it, you were the big guy with glasses at the back left of the hall as well (on Sunday) weren't you. Sano san was just in front of you!

(for those who don't know) Sano Shiro is a relatively famous actor in Japan, and appears in many places on film and video. I have to say "relatively", as I saw him, and knew him, but couldn't place him in my memory! I said to Rob at the gig on Monday that there was a famous person in the house on Sunday - but now thanks to Poyns (or his wife??), I can reveal his identity!

Indeed his website does mention a great evening, especially the choice of songs, and also the combination of John and Louis being good. He moentioned John's voice being of fine quality, something my wife noted as well, but something I take for granted!

For the Japanese in the forum, the blog he wrote is here.

As a side line (read on Mr Shiro's blog), the director of the latest Ultraman Movie was with him. Maybe that means little to many here, but Japanese children (mainly boys) have to go through an Ultraman stage in their childhood - my son is going through it now (age 7)!

Well, we’re all safely back in the UK - I’m just sorry that I wasn’t able to get around to writing a final blog before I left. Our last night in Tokyo just flew by, and before we knew what was happening the sun was coming up and we had to pack up our stuff and head for the airport.

I'm sure that we'd all like to read your review of the show... wink

The last show was every bit as good, if not better, than the first. I think that's it's fair to say that everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and it was great to meet up with so many fantastic people along the way. We certainly couldn’t have asked for more from our hosts - everyone was very kind and generous. laugh

The set-list, for both shows, was as follows...

01. Walk This Way
02. A Million Cars
03. Dislocation
04. The Man Who Dies Every Day
05. Camera
06. Uptown / Downtown
07. Underpass
08. No-One Driving
09. Burning Car
10. Shadow Man

Encore
11. The Garden
12. Young Savage
13. My Sex
14. Endlessly

I’ll try and get some photos up here later today... wink
