Hmmmm...
I'm trying not to be too cynical about this - I appreciate art appeals to different people on different levels and can be dependent on many things; an individuals own tastes, historical association with a time place or persons, deeper personal connections, etc. I'm left bemused that the two pieces associated with John Foxx are three times the price of everything else offered. I appreciate art is worth what anyone is willing to pay for it - fair play to Karborn for asking for the price, and good luck if anyone
is tempted - but I don't think the pieces associated with track titles compare to some of the others available from Duck Art (great company name there). Moreover, this could be perceived by the wider world as 'increased value due to name and association only' and could put some off rather than draw people in to an artist that produces some fantastic work.
If I had the money (and, yes, I do wish I had the money...), I'd definitely go for the three 'Pauses' pieces, and 'Sync' for the common area walls at work that are shown further down the page there. My eyes were drawn much more quickly to the composition, colours, abstract and immediate 'viewability' of those pieces as opposed to the JF 'inspired' works.
