...as I was in the other thread I just started, I remember, in the 90's, buying a Sega Megadrive game called 'Gods' just because the music was by a certain John Foxx. As it happens, the game wasn't too bad either. Anyone know how John got involved in such a project and has he provided music for any other computer games?

I think this came about as a result of John working with Nation 12.
The Rhythm King label (Shem, Simon Rogers etc) had some connections with the Bitmap Brothers, for whom the soundtracks were written.

There is also the theme music to 'Speedball 2 - Brutal Deluxe', which, I think, was at least nominated for some awards and is considered a classic soundtrack.

And of course the full version of Gods 'Into the Wonderful' is available on the Nation 12 album Electrofear

I had "Gods" on my Amiga back in 1991. Good game. The music was ace too, by this mysterious Nation 12. Funny to think back then at the age of 13 I was already listening to John's music without knowing it.

I don't think John had anything to do with the Speedball music(?) though it was still Nation 12 credited.

The Gods music at the time was deemed groundbreaking in terms of the digitization from the original. The Bitmap Brothers (who made the game) did something similar with the music on their Xenon II game.

I have an MP3 of the Gods music ripped from the Amiga version - it's interesting to compare, although it's really close to the 'real' version on Electrofear
