I hadn't really noticed that before. It probably need to be a button to stand out more. Or increase the font size.

The text box for replies could be a little larger too.

Hmm ... can we add suggestions for this forum anywhere?

Correct - as it says in the discography , it was released on the 24th of March, 1997. The tracks were published in 1995. What can I say except that it had a long gestation... wink
Rob
I was looking at the discography last night actually. Apart from missing some of the newer releases there appear to be 2 META{0}004CDs. Is that a typo?

I just came across this local (i.e. Australian) site .

They have some John Foxx CDs (no Shifting City) but the pricing is absolutely weird (for an example, look up In Mysterious Ways)!

Just drop me a line with your suggestions... I can't promise that they'll all get actioned anytime soon (as I have a heap of other priorities) but they can be incorporated if they're the sort of thing that'll make The Forum a better place to visit.

The two releases which have similar catalogue numbers (META0004CD for Subterranean Omnidelic Exotour and META004CD for The Pleasures of Electricity ) is correct - if a little confusing - and not a typo.

As for the later releases - Yeah, I've been meaning to update the Discography for quite some time now, but I always seem to get side-tracked with work on future releases.

Oddly enough, I'm currently in the midst of redesigning the Discography - I've thought, for quite a while now, that it would benefit from being updated. But with so many pages (somewhere around four hundred) it's inevitably not going to be sorted quickly.

I only have the 5 track Exotour one (called Exotour 1997 on this site). So I couldn't tell.

I still remember when I bought that (I think I emailed you because there was no limited edition number on the back). Cost me a pretty penny but it was worth it. For months afterwards, I kept playing it over and over and marveled over how great it sounded.

It certainly stood out. Quite different to the version on Shifting City. But they were all good to me.

I love listening to Camera when I'm in a quite mood so it was great to hear that as well. And the 3 Ultravox classics he played - you'd think they were recent compositions if you didn't know otherwise.

Just goes to show the quality of the songwriting, doesn't it wink
I can only say that I think he has improved every old 'Vox track that he has revisited, either on Exotour or later live shows. Brought them right up to date and into line with the current sound, and fitting in perfectly.

I suspect the only old Ultravox lyrics he'll have to change are 50 million people in a state of decay, Ireland screams, Africa burns. Aside from that, he seems to avoid topicality or points of reference.
