There's been some musings on various threads about the use of the 'Empty Suit' picture as the sleeve for 'A New Kind of Man', and it got me wondering -

What's your favourite Foxx album sleeve design?

This could also include the Ultravox stuff and other work; Porcupine Tree for example.

The Pleasures of Electricity for me.... and Sideways is pretty cool too!

I've said it before and I'll say it again - I loved the early TPOE cover too (more than the final one). Something fascinating about it.

The Garden stands as my favourite. All that lush greenery and romanticism is hard to beat.

The Your Dress sleeve is another that springs to mind. The collages on a (turquoise)blue background was deluxe.

I'd have to go for Systems of Romance as its my all time favourite album sleeve, but Translucence... is brilliant. really expressive.

Tiny Colour Movies is good too. The booklet really works.

The WORST one has to be The Hidden Man, and I cannot forgive the clumsy barcoding on CO3

I have a soft spot for The Golden Section sleeve. In terms of overall design I would have to plump for The Pleasures of Electricity. I do think From Trash works very well too.

I really want to say Systems of Romance also, but that would cut out The Garden, and Tiny Colour Movies which create whole worlds with their various texts, design and photographs.

Another contender is Lightbulb Sun by Porcupine Tree – which I think would also have worked well as an alternative to The Pleasures of Electricity

Metamatic. Full stop.

Like the music within, it's simply the best - better than all the rest.

There's something pleasingly simplistic and uncluttered about the "Stars On Fire" gatefold sleeve....
