Yes, I think MySpace gave John a much needed profile boost. I assume all his 'friends' are fans. I wonder how many of them who we don't know come here, even if just to read.

I would like to think that anybody wanting to rediscover or learn more about John, would do like I did back in 2001, and simply Google his name. This site comes up first (hurrah!), followed by MySpace, with my own website coming a couple of links later which is cool (woohoo!)! That's new - last time I tried to see if it came up in a Google search, it was on page 10 or something! That's pleasing.

And I'm quite proud that the BBC still recommend Quiet City if you do a search for John Foxx! cool

That's brilliant Alex - very well done. You're rightly proud.

Back to the thread..

Just received my copy of ankom.

Very impressed, but what on earth was the mockney bit on underpass all about?

So far, the stand-out for me is My Face.

It's on my mp3 player now, so I'll have a proper listen later.

I received mine on Tuesday, & it was everything I expected. The stand out tracks for me are THIS CITY & MY FACE, because they sound more 'live' than the rest of the tracks.

The booklet is worth the money without the music. Most excellent!

Got my "A New Kind Of Man" CD last week and now I've listened it few times through. After reading some reviews here and having a certain comprehension what it will be... I was pleasantly surprised.

As well as ealier Foxx & Gordon live CD:s this also works best when you listened in a car at high volume.

My copy never arrived at my home. It was sent on the 18th April from Townsend but until yet it I haven't hold it in my hands. mad
Seems I paid the money for nothing. But now I have enough of waiting - will order a second copy AND REALLY HOPE IT WILL RECEIVE ME!!! Okay there were some strikes at the post office the last month - seems this is the price I have to pay for that.

I'm sure I'm the only person here who haven't listened to it until yet.
But will do it soon ( if Townsend rec. have another copy for me...)

wink Andreas

Not good news, Andreas. This is quite surprising frown

Were you debited for the purchase?

I would contact them and find out if there is a problem or when they claimed to have posted it. I ordered mine on a Friday and it came on the Monday - but of course I'm inland UK. Anyway my point being, it was shipped quickly, as I'm sure many other people will confirm.

I hope you manage to sort something out, and you get your CD soon.
