So who is Steve D'Agostino and what did he play and when? (see News if this post is too cryptic for a Saturday morning).

He's been working with John and Louis for quite a while now, and even appeared on stage with them at the ICA and Cargo shows.

Steve also 'recorded' all of the interviews conducted by Steve Malins with John - Sideways, The Hidden Man and Metal Beat - as well as the 5.1 mix of Cathedral Oceans for the recent DVD release.

In fact, I'm currently in the middle of conducting an interview with Steve for Metamatic.

Hope that this helps.

Rob

Ah, I thought the name was familiar. I didn't know that he'd been on stage with John and Louis.

I'm guessing from the press release that the 'NKoM' CD was compiled from various performances in the tour, rather than a single performance. Is that right?

Thanks,
Pete

Ah, news, finally! And good news too!! smile smile cool smile smile

And I knew he'd eventually use that photo as an album cover!!

To have a Metamatic live album will be a nice 'bookend' to that era.

Unexpected news too... I was sure NKoM would be the name of the compilation that's supposed to be happening (is that still the plan?).

I can't recall A New Kind of Man ever being suggested as the title for the forthcoming compilation album (yes, it's still happening). Besides, that title would be inappropriate when the compilation is scheduled to also contain material recorded with Louis...

...actually, you're right - I think some of us (or maybe it was just me!) thought that it would make a great name for a compilation - and indeed hit the same "what about Louis?" stumbling block!
