Calm down dear, it’s just a bit of fun! laugh

In the spirit of the Joy Division movie, Control I was musing over who could play our favourite electro-pioneers if "da man" ever wised up and committed their story to celluloid. Clearly the emphasis is on known actors as opposed to unknowns otherwise there’d be no point and good lighting and make-up would most certainly be necessary for the early days.

John Foxx/Dennis Leigh - Iain Glen
Warren Cann - Julian Sands
Billy Currie - Michael Sheen
Chris Cross - David Thewliss
Midge Ure - Robert Carlyle
Louis Gordon - Alan Cumming

What think ye? What know ye? What say ye?

John Foxx - played by Jude Law .. ha!ha!ha! .. that way I would guarantee my girls would watch it..he'd have to loose that posh accent tho, in favour of Chorley brawl.

Not sure about the others - have to think a bit more about them.

I'd have the whole thing played in flashback-with an octogenarian Foxx played by Bob Holness narrating his life story from a grey/blue acrylic cube in the desert, dressed in severe white clothes and sipping a Creme de Menthe!

LMAO!!

That image has made my day.

There could be a blockbusters interlude - now named Foxxbusters - with John doing "the dance" to a Metamaticified version of the theme tune.

It's all getting rather surreal now.

We'd have to put John Simm in there somewhere...

I know: we'll stick a 'tash on him and he can be Midge Ure...I'm sure he can deal with the accent..
