It would have been nice if the audience had been a bit wilder to get the atmosphere up a bit - but maybe thats because of the distinct lack of women who tend to let themselves go a bit more!
I was at the front where both the mobile phone camera brigade were standing alongside the aforementioned quartet of drunken gentlemen who were patently having the time of their lives!

I'm a veteran of Numan shows, but I realised the atmosphere would be a bit different and more "cerebral" as somebody suggested. It would have been nice to have a few choral contributions from the audience on occasion, but I did enjoy seeing Louis' impersonation of Mr. Bounce for the first time!

Thanks to John for all the years of quiet genius. Thanks to John and Louis for a memorable show.

PS: (We Are) Performance are pretty good, even if the lead singer looked a bit like John Barrowman with epilepsy.

Yeah, think I saw you!
Cat(erpillar) t-shirt, grey hair, dim skin, no wait...I'm pale ... yes, some thatch on the roof still! Do you find yourself looking around thinking 'I bet he or she's on the forum...'? smile

I did want to meet Robin though, chatted to him on the phone a few times and wondered if he was present. Robin? Were you there? I should've made contact beforehand... numpty!

I was guilty of actually thinking of pushing to the front like a groupie.... but the more mature side of me decided to stay at the back smile

I was waiting to read why Maxidunn quoted me - but zilch! Does this mean you thought exactly the same? Or did you just forget to type something!

Donald - I did mean to quote you and it all went wrong - I am not very good with all this fancy stuff... I will get the hang of it in the end!

But yes I agreed with what you said about the support act... haha... summed it up actually! smile

Hi. I made the Manchester gig with my girlfriend. I loved it as I always do John's gigs. My girlfriend isn't really a fan but she had to admit that it was a good show.
