is excellent. congratulations to paul (and robin if he was involved) for sticking so faithfully to the original and reinterpreting the extra bits of the design appropriately. i was worried that the design might be a bit all over the place but its retained the formality of the original, absolutely right for the reissue.

there are some nice touches, the back of the booklet is the same as the back of the inner sleeve of the original vinyl release and the cd labels are similar to the records original metal beat labels. typefaces are also absolutely correct. all in all cant be faulted.

I'll second that.

It has been a while since I can admit to being impressed with the packaging of Foxx releases - this one surpasses all and is absolutely top drawer.
Well done and thanks to everyone involved. cool cool

Just one teensy question…

Mine bears a nice little sticker proclaiming that"Bonus Disc features FIVE previously unreleased tracks".
The track listing on the inside back cover only identifies THREE of these?

"a new kind of man" & "he's a liquid" in their alternative versions were already released before - albeit not in such a good ( while remastered ) quality , iirc !?

p. s. : jus' remove that sticker ! ;-)

Dont have the album yet, but thanks for that info. I remember this type of artwork reproduction being used for Beggars re-issues of early numan albums some years back. So thanks in advance to Rob and everyone involved.

And it has no sleevenotes - Hurrah! Just the words, photos and credits.

The attention to detail is absolutely top notch - Top job Rob!

And it's nice that it came with a plastic case and not in cardboard digipack format.
A big thank you to all those involved.

Yes, it is superbly presented.

The booklet is spot on, with great photos.

There's nothing 'ultra modern' there to spoil the look of the original Metamatic. Great job by Rob and everyone involved.

I agree with everyone else-its smashing.I swooned when I opened it up and saw the lovely label design and the booklet is just right-not too much info all over the place and with well chosen pics in addition to the original images.

I'm glad they didn't include any interview / sleevnotes either - nothing dates an album quicker than when they try to contextualise it or some vague attempt at making it look contemporary to today.

Metamatic is timeless!
