I think you need to be taken outside & be injected with a sense of humour.

It's only a bit of fun. [/b]
I wouldn't mind if they weren't so lame.

Which probably explains why they don't get anywhere.

Reminds me of the silly local shops with silly names (hairdresser called Curl Up and Dye, for example). Might be funny the first time, but after that, it just gets lamer and lamer.

A real tribute band should have a serious name so that it evokes some respect.

How about a tribute band that reworks John's early 1980s output using samples of people doing the hoovering called The Golden Suction?

Please, if you don't like what you're seeing then don't read the thread. smile

Sorry Mr Ilektrik and Herbert the turbot, but I’m jumping ship with The Golden Suction, I’m citing 'cyclonic differences' with the band. There’s too much dust and debris, unacceptable sound levels, and the hose keeps getting naughty with the power brush at every gig, so I’m trading in my VAX and going solo with my own JF tribute band, I’m going under the new name – Robo Maxx:

(Err, incidentally, has anyone else ever noticed that impression of a vacuum cleaner that John appears to be doing on the cover of The Golden Suction?)
