So, I'm late to the party, but the important thing is that I got here. laugh

Anyway, this news is completely awesome and I'm celebrating today! So many thanks to everyone who went through the hard work of putting this CD together... I'll definitely be snatching this baby up.

Forgive me if I'm covering old ground, but this new version... will it be remastered? Reason I ask, is that my wallet is scowling at me whenever I hover my mouse cursor over the "pre-order" button at Townsend Records. laugh I already have the 16-track 1993 release, and the 17 (10+7) track re-release from 2001, and as much of a completist as I am, I'm struggling to justify yet another version, albeit with these extra tracks.
However, if it is remastered, which seems likely, given Rob's "And it's never sounded better. [Big Grin]" comment earlier, then it'll be a must-buy. Rob, any confirmation of this? smile

As far as I'm aware, the film (The Bed) was never completed - I'm not even sure if it even progressed to the stage where footage was shot. So a DVD is very unlikely... frown

Rob
On the other hand, every blank DVD in existnce would capture the non-existent footage of the film perfectly, so you can even buy copies in boxes of 100!

Hee hee!
Brilliant idea. There's a Turnip Prize Nomination there surely... laugh

They originally appeared on the Touch Meridians tapes and are correctly titled The Quiet Man 4 and The Quiet Man 3.

Yep. These tracks would fit in well in the 2CD The Garden remaster. Although, I would have loved to have seen these 2 tracks as part of a bigger musical project, The Quiet Man, with all the other parts 1, 2 etc, should they have existed.

Metamatic is the album to reissue first in it's most complete form because of it's musical importance. Whether it was a million seller or not, it is clearly the best of it's genre.

Notwithstanding this, The Garden, The Golden Section and In Mysterious Ways merit a similar release, as they are works from a true genius that is John Foxx. Imagine The Golden Section with the 8 tracks from the In The Glow sessions. laugh

Monday is the day....Like a Miracle oh oh oh oh oh!

Surely the first because it was originally released first? :p

Good points otherwise.
Hope the release is wide enough to reach the High Street
