I'm going to go for 'A Kind of Wave' - I've no idea why, it's just that when I read the question that was the first song that appeared in my head!

"the garden" ( the song ) for its original "foxx vox" & "never let me go" for the altered / vocoded "foxx vox" ! ;-)

Difficult .... although Maximum Acceleration springs to mind. He sings it like an actor!

My favourite has to be my all time favourite song, THE GARDEN. I don't really need to explain why. You only have to listen to & FEEL John's singing to understand why it's perfect for the most beautiful piece of music ever created.

You're not wrong there. Mind you, it wouldn't be a beautiful piece of music if John had been in my garden when he wrote it - I've got the bloomin' M6 at the bottom of it! LOL!!

Listening to IMW again this week, I'd have to say that John's vocal performances on this entire album are among his very best.

But who can argue that Young Savage isn't as good in a very different way?
